An interior is, to me, like a painting: A room can inspire as much as a painting can and, like a painting, it requires contrast, proportional integrity, a focal point, the right amount of negative/positive space, movement.

And originality. I believe strongly in incorporating clients’ personal objects into the mix— It’s their room, it’s their story. Meaningful objects, even the weirdest of knick-knacks, the strangest souvenirs, have a place.

I started Alex Wilmot Interiors in January 2020 with the intent of making engaging, inspiring interiors that encourage their inhabitants to think outside of the box; and I enjoy working with clients to achieve just that.
